DeSean Jackson Out With Concussion

NFC Championship FootballDeSean Jackson, aka Touchdown City, said that he will most likely not play this weekend against the Atlanta Falcons due to the concussion he suffered last Sunday.  This leaves the Eagles searching for someone to play opposite rookie WR Jeremy Maclin, but more importantly, this leaves the Eagles without their deep threat.  Mr. Reid does have some options.  He could go with Jason Avant who has played pretty well in the past couple games (94 yards last week and two weeks ago against the Chargers put up 156 yards receiving) or they could go with (drum roll please) Reggie Brown.  Now Reggie seems to have been forgotten about after being dropped to the bottom of the receiving core and only has 3 catches this year.  If you remember, Brown played pretty well in the 2006 and 2007 seasons but has since been no where to be found.

Look also for Maclin to go deep more this game and let Avant and possibly Brown do all the underneath routes.  With Jackson out, someone will need to run his routes (run deep everytime) and Maclin perfected that in college as a deep threat.
